CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Sunday School – Sunday morning at 9:00 am
This class uses the Exploring Faith curriculum that helps children to know the transforming love of Jesus Christ using a variety of hands-on experiences. Exploring Faith helps children learn land experience the Bible in ways they can understand.
Early Elementary (K-2nd grade)
This class uses Seasons of the Spirit curriculum. It empowers all ages to be transformed in Christ as they explore meaning and mystery in the Bible. The resources deepen faith by exploring relationships to God and community.
Older Elementary (grades 3-5)
This class also uses the age appropriate Seasons of the Spirit curriculum. A weekly resource that utilizes a variety of experiences to help engage the Bible and nurture a growing faith.
Koinonia
Meets from 6-8:30 every Wednesday night during the school year. Family Dinner starts at 6:00 pm. Children’s activities are from 6:30- 7:30, which include Bible Zone and Faith Clues curriculum and children’s choir.
Children’s Church
11:00 Service only - Children ages 3 through 2nd grade are dismissed from the santuary to children's church where they have the opportunity to a Bible story and sing songs.
Acolytes
Children grades 3-8 serve as acolytes, crucifer and evangelist. A training session is held each year.
Vacation Bible School
A fun filled week held in the summer for ages preschool to adult.
Scouts
There are numerous Girl Scout troops ranging from daisies to cadets that meet on different days of the week.
Children’s Choir
Cherub choir is made up of children in kindergarten through second grade. Joy Maker’s choir is made up of children in third through fifth grade. They practice on Wednesday nights during Koinonia sing periodically on Sundays during the 11:00 service.
Annual Holiday Events
Easter Egg Hunt- held the week before Easter where the children come together to enjoy a fun filled time of story, craft and egg hunt.
Fall Family Fun Festival- event sponsored by the United Methodist Women, which is held in October. It is a night of fun and games for the children as well and the adults.
Breakfast with Santa- come and enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast and a visit from Santa. Afterward the children may stay for a time of games and crafts while the parents can do their Christmas shopping.
