Ski Trip-
We will be going on our ski trip in February of 2007.  We stay at Valle Crucis Conference Center in Valle Crucis, NC which is close to Boone.  We arrive Friday and do some sight seeing in downtown Boone.  Our first stop is usually The Mast General Store where we get our weekend supply of candy.  Saturday we spend the day skiing or this year we are going to try snow tubing.  We go to sugar mountain to ski and to do the snow tubing. We return home Sunday afternoon.  We have a great weekend of fun and fellowship.

Mission Trip-
This year our goal is to take a mission trip to Costa Rica in June of 2007.  More information will be available at a later date.

Lock-ins-
Our UMYF have a lock-in in the fall and one in the spring.  The youth arrive Friday night and spend the night at T-BOB (the builing out back) with adult supervision where there are activities such as playing games. music, watching movies and a time of fellowship.

Fundraisers-
West Nash UMYF try to do several fundraisers a year.  We have sold notecards and calendars. car washes, selling pizza coupons, bake sales, servant auctions and dessert auctions.

Youth Newletter-
The youth receive a newsletter each month telling them of the upcoming events and trips that will be taking place.

Parties-
The youth usually have two parties a year. One is held at Christmas where we get together at someone's home and exchange gifts.  The other party is held in May and is the end of year party.  We usually pick a place where we have never been. (examples:adventure landing park, pool party, etc.)
