Meet Our Staff:

 

 
William Holliday - The Reverend William Holliday came to West Nash Church from Hebron UMC in Mebane, after serving there for seven years. William is a native of Jamesville, North Carolina, but was raised in Orlando, Florida. He is the son of William T. Holliday and Mary Pauline Holliday.
 William LOVES JESUS!   His passion is Christ and preaching the Gospel that others may know Jesus.   William holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and he loves Gator Football and Basketball. He is also a graduate of Duke University.
 William is an ordained Elder in the North Carolina Conference and has served on various district and conference committees.
 He likes to read, whitewater raft, walk – I’m not fast enough to run – and be with friends. His favorite foods are anything Mo, his wife, cooks; Mexican, Italian and hot dogs. He has a good sense of humor, but cannot sing, though music, especially John Denver, Michael W. Smith, U-2, Allison Krauss and Union Station, and, get this, classical rank high in his life.
 William is married to Elizabeth Adams McMurray Holliday, better known as “Mo”. They have two sons, Zachary Sean McMurray Holliday and Matthew Denver Hershey Holliday.
 
Lori SnyderFirst joining the professional staff as Director of Youth Ministries, Lori's new official title is Director of Children and Youth Ministries.  She directs our two youth groups, working with the youth, parents and ther volunteers.  She also directs our weekday preschool program and is seen all over the building on Sunday mornings making sure everyone is in their place for the children's Sunday School classes and she leads our Children's Church in the 11am service. Lori is married to Doug, who works for Conestoga Woodworks, and they have three children, one grown, (Jessica) one of whom is in the youth group, (Andrew) and one who is in Children's Church, (Clayton).


Will Pierce serves on the staff of West Nash as the Music Director, returning to West Nash from a previous tenure as the Music Director and Organist.  Will is passionate about music, and enjoys teaching and encouraging others to spread the love of God through song.  Will has a diverse interest in music, enjoying many types and styles of songs.  You will see a Blended Service under Will’s direction.  His goal is to appeal to a wide range of worshippers over the course of the worship service. 
 
Will, a native of Wilson, is a Certified Public Accountant and is the Controller with Barnhill Contracting Company in Tarboro.  Will enjoys spending time at the beach with his daughter, Rebekah, and his partner, Ron.



 Patricia Taylor was born and raised in Wilson, NC. She is the daughter of Ralph and Phyllis Harrison, former residents of Wilson. Patricia's (Pat's) first professional church job as a church musician was at West Nash Methodist Church in 1974. She left in 1976, shortly after she married Ron Taylor, currently a church musician at Elm City United Methodist Church. Pat has been a church musician for over thirty years. She attended Atlantic Christian College (Barton College) where she majored in Music Education with an emphasis in piano. She recently graduated with her Masters in Music in Music Education from the University of Boston. Pat and Ron currently reside in Wilson with their two dogs and one cat.
Pat has experience as a choir director as well as an organist, pianist, guitarist, flutist, and piano and guitar teacher. She has also worked with children's choirs in the past. She has been in music education for twenty six years and currently teaches music at Rock Ridge Elementary School.
"Coming back to West Nash Methodist is like coming home again," says Pat. "Thank you for welcoming me into your church family. I am excited to be here! May we continue to worship God together through music and song and give Him all the glory!"


    Martha Reynolds -  West Nash was blessed to have Martha join the professional staff in March 2003 as the church secretary.  She is that friendly voice answering the phone, scheduling room use, and taking care of the day to day details of the church office.  She tracks our budget, writes the checks, does the financial and membership records, newsletters, and other work that our committees need help to complete.  She is a whiz on the computer and also does our powerpoint presentations for Sunday morning services.  She is married to Ray, who works for BB&T and they have 2 grown daughters; Michelle and Amanda, and 6 grandchildren; Isaiah, Sydney, Titus, Tenaya, Travis, and Topanga.
